About
AMSOM Habitat is a Public Housing Authority (OPH), with the collective authority of the Somme Housing Syndicate. AMSOM Habitat’s missions include the construction, acquisition, renovation, and management of social housing.
It was in January 2020 that AMSOM Habitat was officially created, through the merger of the Public Housing Authority in Somme with the OPAC of Amiens Métropole. This merger brought about significant changes:
This merger initiated a reflection on adapting the recruitment strategy and optimizing recruitment methods.
Recruitment issues
Before the merger, only one person handled recruitment. Recruitment processes were therefore quite straightforward, managed simply with Excel spreadsheets and a recruitment email inbox.
After the merger, with the increase in the workforce and growing recruitment needs, Amsom Habitat created positions for much more versatile recruiters. But the integration of these new recruiters logically disrupted the methodology. While managing candidates with a spreadsheet and an email inbox worked well with just one person, the increase in the volume of CVs and the integration of new recruiters quickly made this system too difficult to manage.
The increase in the number of applications resulted in teams spending a considerable amount of time on “administrative” tasks such as sorting and archiving CVs. Some were even lost in transit between offices! Ultimately, recruiters at Amsom Habitat felt like they were losing the essence of their profession: searching for profiles, human interaction, conducting interviews…
All these issues prompted a reflection on improving recruitment methods and optimizing Amsom Habitat’s operations. The solution quickly became apparent: adopting an ATS.
